Northwest Calgary residents can easily and quickly register their children for West Valley Softball teams, leagues and programs. Registration and administration for all programs is done through the Silver Springs Community Association.

Winter Training Registration
Registration is now open for the 2026/2027 Winter Training.
West Valley is pumped to have MRU Fastpitch team and coach back again this year to facilitate our Winter Training! Whether an avid softball lover or new to the sport, Winter Training is the perfect opportunity to improve their game in the off-season by continuing to develop skills, learn technique and receive mentorship from young women that live and breathe the sport!
The sessions are open to players from all communities, including those outside West Valley boundaries.
Winter Training is a 10-week session, run out of Absolute (airport location). Players will have fun, while increasing skill and confidence through fitness, batting, defense and game strategy.
Registration is now open for all age categories.

Pitching & Catching Clinics
West Valley offers pitching and catching clinics throughout the off season. These clinics are ideal for players looking to build their pitching/catching skills, knowledge, and confidence through instruction and creative drills.
Pitching clinics typically run in the fall (October-December) and again in the winter (February-March).
Catching clinics typically run in the winter (February-March).
Clinics fill up very quickly, we recommend registering early and join the waitlist if it is full.
2027 Outdoor Season
Registration opens in December for the 2027 season.

Fall Ball Registration
The Fall League is run by Calgary Minor Softball Association (CMSA). Registration and team formation is completed by CMSA, not by West Valley. During registration team/friend requests can be made. Players have the option of playing in the age division they will be playing the following spring or staying in the age division they would have just completed.
Fall League is an excellent non-competitive environment for those that are new to softball to give it a try. For those returning players it provides a fun, no pressure environment to try new positions and continue developing their skills. Teams will have two one hour and 10 minute games and one skill session scheduled each Saturday.
Typically the season runs for 4 to 5 Saturdays in September/October
Time: 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (subject to change)
